“Dr. Marcus was behind me in line at a West Philly grocery store near the Penn dental school where he donates his time. I had miscalculated and was over my credit limit (it happens to everyone) and the store couldn't cash the one "emergency check" that I had in my wallet for exactly this reason. I had no choice but to leave the store without the cake mix and icing I needed for my friend's birthday cake. Her birthday was the next day. Dr Marcus caught up to me and offered cash for a personal check. Not only did he save the day but it made the birthday cake that much better. Since then Dr. Marcus and I have exchanged letters and there is no doubt in my mind that he is an honest, empathetic, hardworking, charitable doctor.”
